Data We Process

The platform processes account data, tenant metadata, scanner output, and operational telemetry needed to run the service.

  • Account data includes user email, role, and authentication metadata.
  • Scanner data includes findings metadata, affected assets, and remediation context.
  • Operational telemetry includes performance and security event logs.

How Data Is Used

Data is used only to deliver, secure, and improve customer-facing service functionality.

  • Provide dashboards, triage workflows, and reporting.
  • Protect platform integrity through abuse detection and monitoring.
  • Deliver customer support and troubleshooting on verified requests.

Retention and Deletion

Retention windows follow plan configuration and contractual requirements. Data deletion requests are supported.

  • Customer-controlled data retention settings are applied per tenant.
  • Deleted accounts are de-provisioned according to documented offboarding windows.
  • Backups follow secure lifecycle controls and encrypted storage policies.

Security Controls

BlackShield applies technical and organizational controls for confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

  • Encryption in transit and at rest for managed data stores.
  • Role-based access and tenant isolation enforced in service APIs.
  • Periodic security testing and vulnerability response workflows.
